About

Linda Schreiber is a non-profit business consultant inspiring strategic direction, thriving staff and community teams, and vision-focused facilitation to executives and boards.  With over 30 years in executive leadership and performance consulting, she applies expert knowledge, industry experience and relentless energy to solve problems and generate community impact.

She brings a wealth of expertise in capital and strategic planning, CEO search and executive coaching, mergers and collaborations, financial recovery, philanthropy and board governance.  Linda delivers tailored design of community needs assessments and stakeholder engagement processes to capture the data necessary for optimal decision making and honed strategy.  Her engaging advanced facilitation skills assist community and workplace groups in delivering effective results to build their capacity, business services and impact performance.

Linda currently works as the community engagement and fundraising consultant to the Royce Family Fund’s multi-partner project team to reinvent a former Westerly, RI school into a multi-tenant community center.  Other current projects include various YMCA capital initiatives, alongside GRO-dev’s architectural design, real estate and facility development team. She recently served as Interim CEO for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Maine.

Linda previously worked as a management consultant for 14 years with the YMCA of the USA, partnering with Y’s spanning a broad spectrum of capacity, budget size, and geography. Her tenure included assignments in 8 states across the northeast and southeast regions of the US. This followed her work in local non-profits, including 10 years as the CEO of a collaborative, joint operation YMCA & YWCA. She proudly began her long affiliation with the YMCA as a volunteer, serving as a member of the board of directors.   Her first career was as an educator in the field of autism, leading a residential program team in educational curriculum design and instruction, and implementing research protocols affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine’s Child Study Center.

Linda’s educational preparation includes a BS in Education from Temple University and post-grad studies at Yale University.

When not enjoying capital projects restoring her historic home, getting her hands in the dirt gardening, riding her bicycle, traveling or grabbing some sun West Coasting it with her son and daughter in law, she can be reached at 312-720-9023 or lmschreiberconsulting@gmail.com.

Few people can gauge the pulse of a community, and engage the will of its leaders like Linda. Whether stakeholder conversation or community forum, there’s both methodology and style to key leader engagement.  Linda's unique and productive blend delivers. I witnessed Linda usher community leaders from available to curious, and curious to engaged – wholly.  That’s a gift and I’m glad we’ve been met with it.
